The playscheme is a very fun place, over the holidays we have done a lot of fun activities. Today was our last day and we went to see Mr Popper's Penguins. When we came back we had a party! There was entertainment and I went up onto the stage and sang. By Nikhil age 10 Today is the last day of Playscheme and I really enjoyed it. We played games like 'The Michael Jackson experience' on the Wii and went cinema on Fridays. Today we watched Mr Popper's Penguins. I made lots of friends, like Naomi, Shiyanne and Hope.

Today we made Apple Crumble, It was really tiring but it was a lot of fun. Its really simple. Here's how.
1.Joan one of our staff filled our bowls with flour and sugar. 2.Next, Joan gave us some tinned cooking bramley apples and we cut them up into small bits. 3.Then,we put some butter into our bowls and we crunched it up with our fingertips. 4.After that,we poured syrup on to our apples and we put them into a foil container. 5.Then, we put our crumbly mix over the top of the apples and patted it. 6. Put it in the oven for 25 minutes and at gas mark 6. By the way it doesn't really matter if it comes out like apple pie. By Kyah age 7 Every Wednesday we go on trips. Yesterday, we were supposed to go “horse riding”. Unfortunately the two teachers were off sick, however we went to “Golders Green hill park” . It was better than going nowhere. There were many things to see and Joan(one of the staff members) told us a little joke, it scared most of the children especially the young ones. We went through the forest and the trees. It was obvious that no no one lived in the forest because no one came out of the bushes and even though I am saying this I am getting scared now.
By Naomi Age 10 Today we did jewellery making. Lots of children joined in and they found it really fun. We had some accidents when all the beads fell onto the ground and they had to do them again but over all it was a fantastic. By Leila Age 11 Today we had such fun we made head bands, rings, all sorts of jeweltastic things. We had lots of Caribbean wood and coral and shell from the ocean. We also had a lovely yummy lunch all in my tum-tum. By Kyah, Age 8 Jonita, our staff kept taking out the broom to sweep the floor. There were all sort of beads they were all lovely, they were all different sizes too. The colours were very colourful, they were the colours of the rainbow. My favourite bit was when I did my own necklace I didn't have to worry about the pattern I made because my ideas were on my string.
How to make a beautiful necklace, braclet and ring : We start off by getting our equipments: Thick/Unthick string Beads (all sorts , different textures) A scissors Step one: Start by getting your thread or string and tie a knot at the bottom of the string. Step two: After you have done that start putting the beads one by one until you think it has finished. Step Three: Bring the other end of the thread to the other then tie it. Step Four: Cut the bits that are sticking out of the end with a scissor. Then you have made yourself a lovely necklace do the same for the braclet and ring And you will have BLING in no time. |
